It is Christmas Eve and the perfect time for a holiday book tag! Chloe from The Elven Warrior posted this tag (originally created by GirlReading) earlier today and I loved it so I thought I'd do it myself!
A fictional family you would like to spend Christmas dinner with
Most of my favorite fictional families are "found families" instead of actual relatives so this is a difficult question! I do think it would be so fun to spend Christmas with the Covey family from To All The Boys I've Loved Before. It wouldn't be too hectic but it would still be tons of fun. Plus, the desserts would be top notch.

A bookish item you would like to receive as a gift
I actually really want more bookish clothing! Aside from Harry Potter and Huffepuff merch, I really only have one bookish shirt (It's a Shadowhunters shirt. No one is surprised). I prefer things that aren't too fandom-y looking and are more stylish though, so it's really hard to find ones that I really like (and that aren't super expensive.)

A fictional character you think would make a perfect Christmas elf
I think Arthur Seuss from What If It's Us would be an amazing Christmas elf. He's so sincere and, when he gets it in his head to do something for someone, he goes all out.

Match a book to it’s perfect Christmas song
This was tough but I came up with a good one! I think The Christmas Waltz (especially this version by Sleeping at Last) is the perfect song for The Infernal Devices. That series reminds me of Christmas in general and I can totally picture Tessa waltzing to this song with Will and Jem.

Bah Humbug - A book or fictional character you’ve been disappointed in and should be put on the naughty list
There are always going to be disappointing reads and characters, but one of my biggest disappointments of this year was Tash Hearts Tolstoy. I really wanted to love it but it was just so slow and boring.

A book or a fictional character you think deserves more love and appreciation and deserves to be put on the nice list
Oh so many! As far as books, I need everyone to pick up The Disasters by M.K. England which released this week and deserves all of the hype. As far as characters that need more love, I think every soft girl in YA deserves better. Soft boys and badass girls get all the love, but soft girls are just as good.

Red, Gold and Green - A book cover that has a wonderfully Christmasy feel to it
It's neither red, gold, or green, but I think the cover of The Light Between Worlds is a beautiful Christmasy cover. It's just so magical and is so reminiscent of Narnia's winterscape.

A book or series you love so much, you want everyone to find under their Christmas tree this year so they can read it and love it too?
Aside from The Disasters which I mentioned earlier, I think it has to be The Spy with the Red Balloon by Katherine Locke. I know everyone has heard me sing this book's praises by now so please go buy it for yourself and your loved ones.

I hope everyone is having a lovely holiday season and finding lots of time to read. Let me know in the comments which fictional family you would want to spend Christmas with and which books you are hoping to receive this year!
