Today's Top 5 Wednesday theme is all about gift guides! To make it extra fun, I decided to make a quiz. I've included a bunch of my 5-star reads of the year so that I can personally recommend one of them to everyone who takes the quiz.
As the end of the year approaches, many readers are scrambling to meet their 2018 reading goals. Whether you planned to read 5 or 100 books, meeting that goal can be really fulfilling! Unfortunately, it's also really easy to fall behind during the busy seasons of the fall and winter. This post is to help out those of you who may need to speed read before the 31st!
I've included a bunch of books that can be read quickly including graphic novels, middle grade novels, short adult and young adult novels, novellas, novels in verse, poetry collections, and even non-fiction titles. I've even included a few classics in case any of you all were hoping to read more of those this year! The number of pages are included for every title so you'll know exactly what you are getting into.
What I Read
Mammoth by Jill Baguchinsky ★★★★☆
No Plot? No Problem! by Chris Baty ★★★★☆
The Brilliant Death by Amy Rose Capetta ★★★★★
It is finally snowing where I live and I could not be happier. I love Christmas and have been waiting for it for months, but I know a lot of people are mourning the loss of sunshine and warmth. In honor of you all, I'm doing the Sunshine book tag today, created by the lovely Chloe at The Elven Warrior.
Today's Top 5 Wednesday theme is all about what fictional characters I would invite over for friendsgiving! I love this prompt because, over the years, I've kind of fallen out of love with American Thanksgiving. However, I love the idea of substituting a day to celebrate friendships! It was hard to pick only five characters to share it with, but I think I ended up with a pretty amazing crew.
Hello lovely readers! I'm back again with a second round of the Down the TBR Hole tag, originally created by Lia. You can check out my first round of this tag here. Hopefully I can cut down my TBR by a few more books this time!
It seems like every reader is gearing up for all the amazing releases of 2019 and I am no exception. Next year has so many awesome titles that it's hard to even decide what I'm most excited for! However, I definitely don't want to miss out on the amazing books that are still going to come out this year. November and December are going to be full of releases and I wanted to share a few of my most anticipated with you.
Hello lovely readers! My Goodreads tbr has been blowing up like crazy with all the awesome books coming out lately so today I'm going to do the Down the TBR Hole tag. Thank you so much to Ben for recommending this tag and to the original creator Lia.
I’m a huge mood reader so holiday and seasonal books are a huge part of my reading routine. Every year, I read list after list of halloween book recommendations in order to find a great read for the season. Unfortunately, I’m a huge wimp when it comes to scary things! I handle scary books better than scary movies, but I still try to avoid most horror and thriller titles. Because I’m sure there are a few readers out there like me, I’ve put together a list of amazing books that are perfect to read in autumn and on halloween. These books have the atmosphere of halloween without the terrifying elements that keep you up at night!
Today is officially the last day of Shattering Stigmas 4.0! I wanted to take a moment to thank each and every one of you lovely readers for joining us these last two weeks and reading the posts we have shared. It's been so awesome to see so many people participating and sharing their stories. I'm so glad I got to be a part of such an amazing event!
