Today's Top 5 Wednesday theme is all about what fictional characters I would invite over for friendsgiving! I love this prompt because, over the years, I've kind of fallen out of love with American Thanksgiving. However, I love the idea of substituting a day to celebrate friendships! It was hard to pick only five characters to share it with, but I think I ended up with a pretty amazing crew.
Nina Zenik
Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo
At every friendsgiving, you always need someone who isn't afraid to be a bit loud to get the party going. Nina would be the life of the party and the one who makes everyone laugh. She also would be vital to making sure that everyone brought good desserts. Every friendsgiving needs dessert quality control.

Dennaleia
Of Fire and Stars by Audrey Coulthurst
At family thanksgivings, avoiding deep and political conversations is the key to getting through dinner. At friendsgiving though, you can invite the people that agree on the important things and start amazing conversations. Denna would definitely have something smart and witty ideas to add to almost every conversation and I would love to have her to talk to over dessert.

Cristina Rosales
Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare
Every friendsgiving needs a friend like Cristina who isn't afraid of getting a little bit emotional about the awesome friendships you've all made and the times you've shared. Everyone might roll their eyes when she asks everyone to share what they are thankful for, but she's probably the reason everyone has stayed friends for so long in the first place. Cristina would be the glue that holds friendsgiving together.

Arthur Seuss
What If It's Us by Becky Albertalli and Adam Silvera
Let's be honest, friendsgiving was probably Arthur's idea in the first place and I definitely need him on the party planning crew. He's the kind of guy who will go all out to make the people he cares about feel special and isn't afraid of looking a little foolish to meet that goal. I feel like that's a vital role that needs to be filled at any gathering of good friends.

Asher Wing
Warcross by Marie Lu
There isn't really a good reason I'm picking Asher... I just really love him and want to hang out with him. He deserved much more screen-time and love. I also feel like he's probably the best person to get everyone to agree on a date and time for friendsgiving and delegate the cooking and cleaning roles. He's not only the coolest but he's also very good at organizing and keeping wild personalities under control.
